At SEE – Style Every Engagement, we understand that plans can change. Because our rental inventory is reserved specifically for your event date and may become unavailable to other customers once your reservation is confirmed, the following cancellation, refund, return, and rental policies apply to all reservations.
By submitting payment and confirming a reservation with SEE, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the policies below.
Rental Reservations
Rental items are not considered reserved until the required payment or deposit has been received and the reservation has been confirmed by SEE.
Availability is based on the requested event date and is not guaranteed until your reservation is confirmed.
Items placed in a shopping cart, quote request, inquiry, or wishlist are not considered reserved.
Reservation Payments
Any deposit, reservation fee, or initial payment required to secure an event date will be identified during the booking process.
Once your reservation is confirmed, SEE removes the reserved inventory from availability for your event date. For this reason, reservation payments may be subject to the cancellation terms below.
Any remaining balance must be paid by the due date stated on your invoice, rental agreement, or booking confirmation.
Failure to pay the remaining balance by the required deadline may result in cancellation of the reservation.
Customer Cancellations
We understand that circumstances change. Customers should notify SEE as soon as possible if an event must be canceled.
14 Days or More Before the Event
Cancellations received at least 14 calendar days before the scheduled event may receive a refund of eligible payments made, excluding any non-refundable reservation fees, custom-order expenses, processing fees, or other non-recoverable costs already incurred by SEE.
7–13 Days Before the Event
Cancellations received between 7 and 13 calendar days before the scheduled event are not eligible for a cash refund.
At SEE’s discretion, eligible amounts paid may be transferred as a credit toward a future SEE rental occurring within six months of the original event date, subject to inventory availability.
Less Than 7 Days Before the Event
Cancellations received less than seven calendar days before the scheduled event are non-refundable.
Payments cannot be transferred to another event unless SEE agrees otherwise in writing.
Rescheduling
Customers who need to reschedule should contact SEE as soon as possible.
Rescheduling requests are subject to availability.
If the requested new date is available, SEE may transfer the reservation to the new date. Changes in rental items, quantities, delivery requirements, venue location, or services may result in additional charges.
A reservation may generally be rescheduled once unless otherwise approved by SEE.
Custom and Special-Order Items
Payments associated with customized, personalized, printed, fabricated, specially purchased, or outsourced items are non-refundable once SEE has placed the order or begun production.
Examples may include custom signage, vinyl graphics, personalized event pieces, specialty balloons, printed materials, or other items purchased specifically for a customer’s event.
Rental Item Returns
All rental property remains the property of SEE – Style Every Engagement.
Customer-pickup rentals must be returned on the date and by the time stated in the rental agreement or booking confirmation.
For delivery rentals, SEE will provide the applicable pickup or retrieval arrangements.
Rental items should be returned in substantially the same condition in which they were received, excluding normal wear resulting from proper use.
Late Returns
Rental items returned after the agreed return deadline may be subject to additional rental or late fees.
If a late return interferes with another customer’s reservation, additional charges may apply to the extent permitted by the rental agreement and applicable law.
Customers who anticipate being late should contact SEE immediately.
Damaged, Lost or Missing Items
Customers are responsible for rental equipment while it is in their possession or under their control.
The customer may be charged for rental property that is lost, stolen, missing, excessively dirty, misused, or damaged beyond normal wear.
Depending on the extent of the damage, charges may include reasonable cleaning, repair, or replacement costs.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Broken or damaged chairs, tables, stands, pedestals, arches, easels, or equipment
- Torn, burned, permanently stained, or otherwise damaged linens or draping
- Damaged neon signs or electrical equipment
- Missing components, hardware, cables, stands, or accessories
- Water, weather, or improper-use damage
- Rental items that are not returned
Normal wear from appropriate use will not be treated as customer-caused damage.
Rental Equipment Is Not Eligible for Traditional Returns
Because SEE provides temporary rental equipment rather than selling the rental property to the customer, rented items cannot be returned for a retail-style refund simply because they were unused, no longer needed, or the customer changed their mind after the rental period began.
Once rental items have been picked up, delivered, installed, or otherwise made available for the customer’s event, rental charges are generally non-refundable.
Delivery and Setup Fees
Delivery, setup, breakdown, pickup, and similar service charges compensate SEE for transportation, labor, scheduling, and logistics.
Once these services have been performed, the associated charges are non-refundable.
If an event is canceled before services are performed, eligibility for a refund of those charges will depend on the timing of the cancellation and whether SEE has already incurred related costs.
Weather
Outdoor events involve weather-related risks.
Customers are responsible for having an appropriate weather backup plan when renting equipment for outdoor use.
Rain, wind, extreme temperatures, or other unfavorable weather conditions do not automatically qualify a reservation for a refund.
If weather conditions create a safety concern for SEE employees, contractors, customers, guests, or rental equipment, SEE reserves the right to delay, modify, relocate, or discontinue setup or service when reasonably necessary for safety.
When possible, SEE will work with the customer to identify an appropriate alternative.
Venue Restrictions
Customers are responsible for confirming that their venue permits the rented equipment, decorations, setup methods, electrical equipment, audio equipment, and other requested services.
A venue’s refusal to permit an item or setup does not automatically qualify the reservation for a refund.
Please communicate venue restrictions to SEE before confirming your reservation.
Changes to Rental Orders
Rental items and quantities may be added to an existing reservation subject to availability.
Requests to remove items after a reservation has been confirmed may be subject to the cancellation policy because those items have already been held for the customer’s event date.
Price differences resulting from substitutions, upgrades, additional quantities, delivery changes, or other modifications will be reflected on the customer’s updated invoice.
SEE Cancellation or Inability to Fulfill a Reservation
If SEE is unable to provide a reserved item because of unexpected damage, loss, equipment failure, or another circumstance affecting availability, SEE may offer a comparable replacement when reasonably available.
If an acceptable replacement cannot be provided, the customer will receive a refund for the affected rental item or service that SEE cannot provide.
If SEE must cancel the entire reservation and cannot provide the contracted rental services, payments for services not provided will be refunded.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method when possible.
Banks and payment processors may require additional time to post a refund after SEE has processed it.
Payment-processing fees may be non-refundable when the payment processor does not return those fees to SEE.
Inspection of Rental Items
Customers should inspect rental items when receiving or picking them up and notify SEE promptly of any visible damage, missing components, or other problems.
Photos may be taken before and after rentals to document the condition of SEE inventory.
Policy Acceptance
By paying for or confirming a rental reservation, the customer acknowledges that they have reviewed and accepted this Rental, Cancellation, Refund & Returns Policy along with any applicable rental agreement, invoice terms, or booking conditions.
If the terms of a signed rental agreement differ from this general website policy, the terms of the signed rental agreement will control for that reservation.
